good sign

All the three wedding coordinators I e-mailed yesterday are still available on our wedding day! Hay salamat. I only need on-the-day coordination kasi ayoko mangarag sa araw ng aming kasal.

I have to keep my fingers crossed though kasi madami pang pwedeng mangyari until ma-book ko ang isa sa kanila (Lord, nawa'y makuha namin ang coordinator na nararapat sa amin).

Top 10 reasons why my Mommy is special

1. Because she has a multiply account, a friendster account, a YM account and a facebook account. O diba, updated?!

2. Because she looks younger than she actually is. Daig pa ako kasi nagg-gym yan.

3. Because she's so fasyon. I used to be able to borrow from her pero ngayon ewan ko na.

4. Because she always listens and she does so without judgement.

5. Because she gave me and my siblings the freedom to choose who and what we want to be even if she had her dreams for us.

6. Because we can be ourselves in front of her without fear of rejection or being put down.

7. Because she made us feel it was okay to do what we want. Well, as long as we knew and understood the consequences.

8. Because she made my and my siblings' childhood filled with sugar, spice and everything nice.

9. Because she accepts the people we choose to love.

10. Because without her, I wouldn't know life as I know it today.

I love you mommy! Happy mothers' day!

Six Weird Things About Me:
1. I can't sleep on a bed with kulubot on the sheet.

2. I need to have a condiment with all of my meals. Patis, suka, toyo, catsup or bagoong--name it, lahat yan may kapartner na ulam. Hehehe.

3. I love to buy books but never actually read them. Well, not immediately at least. There's something about new books that attracts me to them. Maybe it's the crisp pages or the smooth cover.

4. I can't do any serious work when my hair is not tied to a tight bun. After the wedding, I'm thinking of having my hair cut short.

5. I can twist my tongue vertically.

6. I can't and choose not to wear high-heeled shoes.

I tag B, Apple, Yen, Kim, Tanya and Ailene.

3. I used to have a small bolster pillow which I used as a baby. It was my security "blanket" for so long until my mom threw it away. Now I have a new bolster pillow. A big one.

4. I love stuffed toys. I have huge monkeys at home and I always love touching the toys on display at toy stores.

5. I love dogs.

6. I am addicted to self-help/improvement books. Right now I am reading Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth: Awakening to your life's purpose.

7. I love travelling. Among the places I want to visit and experience are Palawan, Greece, Italy and London.

8. I am introverted. I process things inwardly.

9. I can twist my tongue vertically.

10. I love using shower gels when I bathe each morning. Scent stimulates the senses and it wakes me up.

nitpicking

Oh gosh, what to do, what to do when the most senior editor in the team (which happens to be your supervisor) writes something like this:

China's agricultural trade deficits hits US$3.66 billion a year after US$460 million surplus

???

Tsk tsk. Nakakahiya. Anubayan?!

wedding nightmares

I've been having recurring dreams about being late for my wedding. The reasons vary. Either na-late ako ng gising, the make-up artist did not arrive on time, or the dress was not delivered on time.

Agit na ako talaga sa wedding preps or rather, the lack of wedding preps!

Anyway, naghanap ako sa internet kung ano meaning ng mga bangungot na ito at ito ang sabi ni Dream Doctor:

You have the “wedding jitters” (which I think you already know) and your dream is about as common as they come!

Lateness in dreams is a metaphor for being unprepared. In your dream, your wedding dress arrives late...Will the dress arrive on time?

In short, your dream is not precognitive, and it does not hold negative portent for your marriage. Rather, it simply reflects your fears at what COULD go wrong.

Hay buti na lang at hindi prophetic ang mga panaginip ko. Hehehe.

Gusto ko nang umuwi ng pinas!

I heart Iron Man

B and I watched Iron Man yesterday. Ang gandaaaaa!

Robert Downey Jr was perfect as Tony Stark. He was witty and delivered his lines so well. You'd really believe he was this genius billionaire arms dealer na super chickboy at hindi seryoso sa buhay pero sa huli, napatunayang may puso.

Bumagay talaga sa personality niya. Nung una kong nakita yung trailer, I thought "Ay, bakit si Robert Downey Jr and Iron Man?" Akala ko hindi babagay sa kanya ang role as superhero pero I was wrong! Ang galing niya in both drama and action moments ng movie. He was also funny especially nung tinetest niya ang suit niya sa lab at nakikipagusap sa mga robots.

Aside from that, Robert Downey Jr was super hot!!!

Gwyneth Paltrow was also the right actress to play Tony Stark's personal assistant, Pepper Potts. She and Robert Downey Jr look so great together. The tension between their characters was so palpable you could feel it!

Ang galing din ni Jeff Bridges! Hindi ko siya narecognize agad coz he was bald. Pero ang galing ng acting! Nakangiti siya pero yung mata, katakot! Galing!

At siempre, di pahuhuli ang effects! Ang galing din!

Watch it! Watch it! Panalo ang movie na ito!
